Southern Saints Pre season commenced Wednesday night 3 Feb 2010 and will continue, until further notice as follows:
Every Wednesday at 6.30pm at Karkarook Park (near Bunnings in Warrigal Rd turn into Fairchild St)
Bring drink bottle and some money for BBQ after training (sausages, beer, soft drinks)
Attire: shorts / T-shirt and runners (no need for boots this early)
About forty people attended to train in the hot weather and what better way to start than a 1.8km run around the park. That’s all I remember due to a non-existent fitness regime.
Garth took training and ensured handballs, kicking and general skills were practiced.
No BBQ or drink bottles were on hand this week – let’s hope next week. Most stayed around for a drink and we had about 8 new faces to the club.
El president (Keano) spoke about our need for a home base training ground and took questions about division 2.
